Mart, a former business associate, was thinking about buying a home in the future and had given us some ultimate criteria. While on caravan looking at homes in different neighborhoods of Atlanta, we found a house that seemed perfect for him. It was priced well below the market in an upcoming area. When I called Mart and told him I found him the perfect house his response was "no way." He said he didn't believe me, and that that there were way too many criteria that I would have to fulfill in order for him to be happy. He looked at the house that evening and we wrote a contract. The house fit all his needs and then some. After only two years, it has doubled in value and Mart has since referred everyone he knows to us and we have become the "resident" real estate agents for his entire department.
Mart Part 2 Mart asked us to sell his home last year and help him buy a new one. We did both and he was extremely pleased. Just ask him.

Moving Truck with Nowhere To Go !
Michael and Ellen, transferring from Chicago, had come to Atlanta to purchase a new home. It was three days before closing on their new house they had had built and we got a call from them. They had just sent the moving truck on its way to Atlanta with all their possessions and went off to their closing in Chicago. The buyer of their house in Chicago had changed his mind and didn't show up for the closing ! Without selling that house they couldn't purchase the one in Atlanta. Barbara called the builder's agent whom she had a good relationship with and asked her to do what she could to stall the closing for 60 days while Michael & Ellen worked through their legal battles in Chicago. Even though this was a very "Hot" market and this was a particularly fast selling subdivision we were able to put everything on hold and get them into their new home in time for the new school year.
